Is it EVER okay to sleep in contact lenses? ? As a general rule, I recommend against sleeping in contact lenses in most situations. Even if your lenses are approved for overnight wear, I would try to avoid it if possible.

If your prescription is so bad that you feel as though you need your contacts to see at all when you wake up, I’d recommend looking into orthokeratology instead!
