According to ASPCA, one of the largest challenges facing animal welfare organizations today is the sheer number of animals in need of assistance.
Unchecked stray populations tend to grow in areas without accessible and affordable spay/neuter services.
While stray animals are often found on the streets and brought in by good samaritans or local law authorities, they have likely suffered extreme trauma and are not in good health. This continuous cycle strains local shelters as they reach physical capacity and face financial burdens.
